To achieve lower prices of its phones, HTC will have to move away a little Qualcomm, at least in their entry and mid-range phones. Yesterday we present a pair of devices, HTC Desire 700 and 501, that do not meet too with the idea of achieving competitive prices, hope to be soon a reality.
Very interesting information that we discover in Unwired View, reporting that HTC is choosing to ST-Ericsson, Broadcom, Spreadtrum to motorize a his last Desire. It is usual to see the hardware HTC is signed by Qualcomm.
Another interesting detail is that they walk in negotiations with phones such as Warbung or Arima manufacturing plants, to pass them part of Chuck that have to be manufactured, with regard to the low range. The relationship seems that it will begin in the first half of 2014.
It is clear that One strategy has not worked, and all the changes we’re seeing have to do with out of it, almost leaving the design of the flagship as a main legacy, but little else. Peter Chou, CEO and founder of the company has moved away from policy directions, and is directly working on new products.
One strategy doesn’t work, but the phone that so yes, seems that high-end finish watching developments about the same thing. According to Focus Taiwan, chosen according to the phone hardware is:
- HTC Desire 700 with an unknown for me Spreadtrum Shark, a quad-core to 1.2 GHz
- HTC Desire 501 with a ST-Ericsson U8520, dual-core 1.15 GHz
- HTC Desire 601 Dual SIM, with a four Broadcom Java nucleso 1.2 GHz. The 601 Desire a SIM, using Qualcomm Snapdragon 400.
